The 3 ½ days we spent in Rome were not enough and I said I would like to stay for a month. Rome is so deeply embedded in my mind that I will never forget it . . . You may tell Miss Pering that I will never forget this scene and . . . what I saw in Rome I can hardly enumerate.
We could not have had finer weather . . . This morning some of the party went to Capri and Sorento where they will remain overnight to visit Vesuvius . . .
