Congratulations to Ohio University’s Environmental Studies program on 50 years of excellence in teaching, applied research, and community impact!
Started in 1974, this program is geared toward graduate students and select undergraduates who are interested in addressing complex environmental challenges in a multidisciplinary, intersectional, and sustainable way. In-person and online programs available.
Upon completion, our alumni are equipped for:

- Advocacy, policymaking, and sustainability positions with government or nonprofit agencies
- Work on private sector environmental, sustainability, and risk management initiatives
- Continued studies at the master’s or doctoral level
Thank you for Celebrating with Us!
We kicked off our celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Ohio University’s Environmental Studies program during Homecoming Weekend, with a highly successful and engaging alumni panel and lunch.
In honor of this anniversary, we will be continuing with celebrations throughout the year. A large component of that are spotlights on our Environmental Studies alumni . If you would like to share your own experiences since graduation please reach out.
