Dr. Michael Reece

A Program Coordinator and Assistant Professor in the College of Health Sciences at Ohio University, Dr. Michael Reece spent the past 19 years at Indiana University, where he served as a Professor in the School of Public Health, and as the Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Studies. He has a Ph.D. in public health from The University of Georgia and earned his MPH at San Diego State University. He completed his post-doctoral fellowship at the Bloomberg School of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University.
His practice experiences have included leadership positions across a broad range of organizations in the U.S., ranging from non-profit community organizations to governmental agencies and corporations. He has also been fortunate to work extensively on a global scale, in African countries like Kenya, Liberia, Botswana, and South Africa; and in European countries including The Netherlands, Czech Republic, Ireland, and Romania. His research focus is on sexual and reproductive health. He founded and led the Center for Sexual Health Promotion at Indiana University and has served as President of the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality and the North American Federation of Sexuality Organizations.
