You can earn a certificate in environmental studies by completing 3235 hours that include required introductory and ecology courses and approved selections from the areas of quantitative skills, natural sciences, and social sciences. Many certificate courses satisfy both Tier and Arts and Sciences requirements. Further, courses taken as part of an Arts and Sciences major will also count toward fulfilling the certificate.

Earning the certificate involves completing six to eight approved courses relating to the area of study - including language courses, in some cases - with a g.p.a. of 2.5 in all courses taken toward the certificate.
