Professional Experience
Alex received his BBA from Ohio University in 1969. Prior to his retirement in April 2008, he spent 38 years with several manufacturing companies. His resume includes, NCR as an industrial engineer, ESB as a general foreman, Parker Hannifin as plant manager, MascoTech as group director of operation, Sinter Metals as vice president of operations, Colfor Manufacturing as president and COO), FF Acquisition d.b.a. Flexible Flyer as president and CEO, and Turn-Key Forging & Design as a business development consultant.
Alex spent nine years with the private equity group Cerberus Capital Management. During that time he managed the turn-around and sale of Colfor and FFA.
He and his wife of 50 years, Nancy, have lived in Texas, Georgia, Michigan, Mississippi, and currently reside in Highland Heights, OH. They have three daughters, Carrie (University of Michigan & Michigan Law) living in Chicago, IL, Sarah (Ohio University College of Communications) living in San Francisco, CA, and Katie (John Carroll College of Education) living in Twinsburg, Ohio.
Throughout the years, Alex and Nancy been involved with many professional and charitable organizations.
