Professional Experience
Mr. Snider has been an Athens resident since 1971 when he moved here to start his insurance career. He has been active in many civic activities including past president and board member of Athens Downtown Kiwanis, O’Bleness Memorial Hospital, United Appeal, and Athens Area Chamber of Commerce, twice being named as the Chamber Person of the Year. Mr. Snider has been active in various capacities with the Richland United Methodist Church including Board Chairman, and he has been an instructor in insurance courses and financial planning for Ohio University since 1975.
Mr. Snider has been active in his industry, serving as a past president of both the Athens and Ohio Association of Life Underwriters, a national board member of the Association of Health Insurance Agents, a forty year member of the Million Dollar Round Table and Top of the Table, and a board member of the Hocking Valley Bank.
The Sniders have five grown daughters and six grandchildren, along with a houseful of pets.
