Wendy Adams joined Ohio University in September 2015 as director of assessment and academic improvement for The Gladys W. and David H. Patton College of Education. In April 2023, she joined the Center for Teaching, Learning, and Assessment as the associate director of assessment.
Adams has almost a decade of experience with assessment and accreditation. She has successfully led three accreditation site visits, serves as a peer reviewer for CAEP, and serves as a consultant to guide others through creating an effective assessment plan for their accreditation self-study process. She has served on various committees and boards both at Ohio University and state-wide.
Prior to Ohio University, she worked at the Ohio Department of Higher Education where she worked with colleges and universities across the state to create state-level processes and procedures, guide them through the accreditation process, advise on state laws and policies, and oversaw the program review process for licensure programs.
She holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education from Ohio University, as well as an M.B.A. and M.H.R.M. from Keller Graduate School.
