There are security issues that arise from holding PCards in the PCard office for extended periods of time; because of this the Finance department must set protocols around PCard pickups. All PCards issued on or after October 1, 2022 will need to be picked up from the PCard office within 30 days of receiving the email stating that their card is available. Reminders will be sent to the cardholder to pick up their PCard with 15 days and 5 days remaining to pick up. Any cards that aren’t picked up within this timeframe will be closed at the bank and destroyed if the cardholder has not been in contact with the Pcard Office to make alternative arrangements to pickup the card.
Once the cardholder has received their PCard, they will have an additional 30 days to activate the card with Bank of America. Cards can be activated by calling the number on the sticker attached to the card or through Global Card Access (GCA). The PCard office strongly suggests that cardholders set up a GCA account to be able to manage their PCard. This site allows cardholders to view and manage their PIN, set up useful card alerts, and see reasons if their card would ever be declined.
