ALTOUR has been selected as the University's preferred full-service travel partner as part of a competitively-bid agreement. ALTOUR has extensive experience in higher education, positive references, and, in addition to handling domestic and international travel arrangements, provides other value-added services like: group travel, charter arrangements, convention and conference service, visa and passport assistance, and enhanced phone support and emergency travel services outside of normal business hours. University employees should book their travel through Concur or through an ALTOUR agent.
This preferred agency offers airfare, lodging, group travel, and ground transportation. ALTOUR guarantees the lowest applicable fare at the time of booking. This is defined as the lowest published airfare available within your company's travel policy and established window of convenience of requested departure time on any preferred or non-preferred airline, including connections, if the savings by using the connection are greater than the amount established by your company. Consolidator and soft dollar tickets and tickets offered through auction websites (such as Priceline.com and Hotwire.com) are excluded from the low fare guarantee. If you believe that you have found a less expensive equivalent fare than what we booked, ALTOUR will take the following steps:
- Respond with a conclusion within 24-hours
- Match lower fare found and credit your account with 10% of new base fare
- If the ticket has already been issued, we will refund the difference
- Refund the transaction fee
