My name is Alexis Craiglow, a senior from Lancaster, Ohio. My passion for design stems from my deep interest in residential spaces. Design, for me, is a journey of creating spaces that resonate with a story, bringing a sense of connection and depth to every corner. Besides being in the Interior Architecture program, I also have minors in studio art and military science. Outside of this program I am also in the ROTC Program where I will be graduating as a second lieutenant in the Army NG. My goal is to pursue residential design and further my career in the military.
The topic of my thesis is the rehabilitation of veterans and their transition into civilian life post active duty. This topic holds immense importance as it not only acknowledges the unwavering dedication and sacrifices made by these individuals in the service of their country but also addresses the pressing need to ensure their well-being. The rehabilitation center will assist in both physical and mental health challenges that veterans face after their service. While the transition program will serve as a pivotal component, offering skill training programs designed to enhance their employability in civilian life. Combining these two paths of service will help touch the lives both veterans and their families.
