My name is Madison Fantelli and I am from Cincinnati, Ohio. I am graduating with a BFA in Interior Architecture and minors in Business Administration and Studio Art. Growing up I have always been interested in design, throughout my life I would watch my father rebuild and re-design our houses. Once I got to Ohio University and took my first interior architecture class, I quickly realized I wanted to pursue my passion as a career. Post-graduation, I plan to move abroad and gain cultural experiences before pursuing a job in design. However, my dream is to eventually end up designing small-scale commercial and residential projects.
The topic I chose for my thesis project is to develop and design an all-inclusive domestic abuse shelter. Establishing a shelter for all victims of domestic violence is extremely important to me, as I believe that all people regardless of their backgrounds, social status, gender, and sexuality, deserve a safe haven to heal and rebuild their lives.
