What You’ll Learn
The Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A) in Studio Art is a professional studio degree that fosters the development of studio artists and creative thinkers. Students take courses in Foundations, Art History and Studio that include topics ranging from historical through contemporary issues in art, technical demonstrations, and rigorous critiques of student work. Visiting artists, field trips, exhibitions, collaborative projects and community engagement are also important aspects of the program.
As a student in the B.F.A. Studio Art program, you have the option to focus on a specific study in one of the following concentration areas:
Applicants must meet general University admission guidelines to enroll in the Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) major. Additionally, a portfolio review is required for admission consideration for the B.F.A. in Studio Art as well as for talent-based scholarship consideration and transfer admission.

Admissions
As a first-year student, there are no additional requirements beyond University admission requirements. Applications for admission to the B.F.A. are accepted after a student completes four, 2000-level studio courses.

Our faculty are renowned for their work as artists and have exhibited internationally and nationally, awarded prestigious grants, secured permanent public art commissions, and received reviews in prominent publications.
