Heritage College Funding
Osteopathic Heritage Foundation Research Endowments: Endowed Chairs, Professorships and Fellowships
The Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine (Heritage College) in partnership with the Osteopathic Heritage Foundation (OHF) has established a tiered endowment structure that provides faculty, at any stage in their research career, support for professional growth and success in collaborative research. Each tier acknowledges the value of faculty members who have attained various levels of research experience contributing to the college’s strategic aims of advancing collaborative research and training, and allows for the possibility of advancement through the series of available tiers.
Research and Scholarly Awards Committee (RSAC)
RSAC provides research support to the Heritage College faculty to enhance research activity and to increase competitiveness for funding from external granting agencies. Proposals are accepted on a rolling basis and are reviewed by standing RSAC committee members and ad-hoc intramural content experts. This committee works closely with the Office of Research & Grants to stimulate research activities by our faculty.
Bridge Funding
The Office of Research and Grants is committed to discussing requests to support bridge funding with all of active full-time scientists who are in need of funding of this nature to sustain their research operations and reach their scientific goals.
Key points for the process for requesting funding directly from the Office of Research and Grants:
- Requests should be submitted directly to Melissa Standley at standley@ohio.edu .
- Requests should be made by both the full-time faculty member and the chairperson of his/her primary department.
- The primary Institute Director who fosters the scientific growth of the scientist may also be invited to discuss funding.
Research Publication Support
The Research Publications Support Program, funded by the Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine Office of Research and Grants (ORG), assists Heritage College faculty and staff to disseminate their research through the publication of scholarly work.
