State Employees Eligible for Employee Development Funds Administered by DAS
We have good news for employees of the state of Ohio who are eligible to access employee development funds (EDF) through the Department of Administrative Services (DAS).
- Thanks to a partnership between Cleveland State University and the state’s Department of Administrative Services, we are able to bill the state directlyfor Leadership Academy registration fees for state employees who are eligible for EDF through DAS. This will save you from having to pay up front and then seek reimbursement at the end of the program.
- For exemptemployees, your EDF funds will cover the full-cost ($3,200) of your registration fee for the Leadership Academy, as long as you have the full amount of EDF available to you. If you have questions about how much EDF funding you have available, please contact DAS-EDF.
- EDF payment levels for other eligible employees vary depending on agreements in place between the bargaining unit and the state.
To have your registration fee direct billed, you must:
- Be eligible to access employee development funds through DAS.
- Have EDF funds available to cover the cost of the program.
- Authorize the use of your EDF funds for this program.
If you do not have sufficient EDF funds available to cover the cost of the Leadership Academy registration, you are responsible for any costs above what the EDF will cover. We will notify you if this is the case and you will be directed to our e-market site for payment of the remainder due.
Availability of EDF funds to cover your registration will be confirmed by DAS prior to the start of the program. If you do not have sufficient funds available, you will be contacted to arrange payment of any costs not covered by EDF.
State Employees Not Eligible for Employee Development Funds Through DAS
If you are a state employee, but are not eligible to use EDF funds through DAS to pay for professional development activities, you may have access to other professional development funds provided your bargaining unit, your agency or the state. Whether those funds will pay up front or require reimbursement, we are happy to work with you to ensure the requirements of your program are met.
Whether you use your own funds or a mix of funds, you are responsible for the full cost of the Leadership Academy, $3,200.
You are welcome to make this payment in full using our e-market site. Or, to make this payment easier, we also offer a payment plan of four quarterly payments of $800 each. Your initial payment, whether in-full or the first quarterly payment, must be received at least one week prior to the start of the program.
Subsequent quarterly payments must be received one-week prior to the start of the quarter for your enrollment status to remain active. You will receive a reminder each quarter to make your payment using our E-market site.
