Jake Lietzow is the Assistant Director for Experiential Design for the College of Business, College of Health Sciences and Professions, Patton College of Education, and Russ College of Engineering and Technology. His primary focus is assisting students in obtaining and realizing hands-on learning through authentic engagement with the community, research, study away, and internships.

Jake graduated from Ohio University’s College of Business with a bachelor’s degree in Sports Management. He established a passion for experiential learning by working as a general staff member for the Southern Ohio Copperheads. As Jake finished his bachelor’s degree, he began working as an Inside Sales Representative for the Miami Marlins. He then taught English as a foreign language to students in South Korea, where he realized his passion for education and helping students obtain their goals. After this experience, Jake returned to OHIO, earned a master’s degree in Middle Childhood Education, and worked with OHIO students as a Graduate Assistant at the Patton College of Education.

Today, Jake is happy to call Athens his home and is passionate about sports, travel, and outdoor adventures.
