Art + Design Degree Paths
The School of Art + Design offers multiple degree paths for students interested in studying studio art, interior architecture, or graphic design.
Bachelor of Fine Arts (Athens campus)
The School of Art + Design conducts portfolio reviews for students who are interested in pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA). Programs are available in Studio Art, Graphic Design, and Interior Architecture. To be admitted directly to one of these programs, students are required to submit a portfolio of creative work. Submission of a portfolio also ensures consideration for talent-based scholarships. Applicants who do not complete this step, but who are admissible to the University, will be admitted to the BA in Studio Art.
Bachelor of Fine Arts (OHIO online)
The school of Art + Design also offers an online program in Interior Architecture. To be admitted directly to this program, students are required to submit a personal statement and may choose to submit an optional portfolio of creative work.
Bachelor of Arts (Athens campus)
Because the School of Art + Design considers artistic talent for scholarship purposes, students pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art or Art History are strongly encouraged to submit a portfolio for talent-based scholarship consideration.
Honors Tutorial College (Athens campus)
Honors Tutorial College (HTC) BA and BFA applicants are strongly encouraged to submit a portfolio in order to be considered for all School of Art + Design opportunities-- both admission and scholarships-- as their application is under HTC consideration. One portfolio submission is sufficient for both HTC and School of Art + Design review.
