Sam Malakoutikhah is an Assistant Professor of Instruction in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Ohio University. He teaches engineering courses at the Russ College of Engineering and Technology. He earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Arizona.
Sam has experience in delivering Mechanical and Civil Engineering courses, including Statics, Strength of Materials, Dynamics, Machine Design, Mechanical Vibrations, Fluid Mechanics, Finite Element Analysis, Vibrations Laboratory, and Strength of Materials Laboratory. Additionally, he has taught various engineering software, such as ANSYS, ABAQUS, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, and MATLAB.
Sam has six years of work experience in the aerospace industry and several years of research experience in biomechanics. His research interests include Finite Element modeling, Biomechanics, Foot and Ankle, and Hand and Wrist.
