Dr. Animesh Yadav is an Assistant Professor in the School of EECS at Ohio University, which he joined in 2023. Before joining OU, he held faculty positions at Minnesota State University Mankato, MN, and Syracuse University, NY. Dr. Yadav also served as a postdoctoral fellow and lecturer at Carleton University, Canada, Memorial University, Canada, and the University of Quebec at Montreal, Canada, and a Research Scientist at the Centre for Wireless Communications (CWC) at the University of Oulu, Finland. Before joining academia, he worked for Capgemini in India and Bittium Oy. in Finland for five years, developing products based on WiMAX wireless technology and other related standards. He also received a prestigious grant from The Fonds de Recherche du Québec–Nature et Technologies (FRQNT) for postdoctoral research in 2015. He has received several scholarships and awards throughout his career, including the Nokia Foundation Scholarship in 2011. He is a recipient of two best paper awards (IEEE IWCMC 2017 and WiMOB 2016).
His current research interests lie in the intersection of communications, computing, and networking with applications to 6G and beyond networks, machine learning for communication systems, space-air-ground integrated networks, and enabling technologies such as integrated sensing and communications (ISAC), and reconfigurable intelligent surfaces. He is an IEEE Senior Member and currently serving as a Senior Editor for IEEE Communications Letters and Associate Editor for Frontiers in Communications and Networks journals.
Dr. Yadav received his master’s in RF and Microwave Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, India, and Ph.D., in Wireless Communications Engineering from the University of Oulu, Finland.
