Meghan knew OHIO would be the place for her when she first stepped foot on campus. The small, tightknit feel reminded her of her hometown. Her first three years on campus proved this by finding a community of friends, professors, and alumni that she interacts with on a regular basis.
She has wanted to be an industrial and systems engineer since her freshman year of high school. She was researching what degree Walt Disney Imagineers had and stumbled across this amazing major. After doing more digging into this discipline she realized this was the path for her.
She started her journey toward becoming an industrial and systems engineer by completing two co-op rotations with Schaeffler Group in Wooster, Ohio. This past summer, she completed an internship with Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio.
Meghan has also worked as a TA for the Russ College’s math instructors, which has led her to meet many great students. She is continuing to work with other students as a Learning Community Leader.
In addition to being an Engineering Ambassador, Meghan is vice-president of the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers, secretary of industrial engineering honor society Alpha Pi Mu, and a student representative on the ISE Department’s Board of Advisors.
In her free time, Meghan enjoys traveling, playing the bassoon, playing rugby, and baking. She has recently taken up journaling and plans to record her senior year for her future self.
