Program Improvement

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering

  1. Faculty develop student outcomes from long term educational objectives.
  2. Next, faculty develop performance indicators to help them identify how to implement each student outcome and how to reach a certain level of achievement.
  3. Faculty identify where in the curriculum the student outcomes are implemented.
  4. Faculty assess and evaluate student outcomes using a balanced mixture of direct and indirect assessment methods: measurable performance indicators, exit interviews; exit surveys; and co-op reports.
  5. Student Outcome Coordinator recommendations are discussed by faculty in various course committees or the assessment committee and are either approved or modified.
  6. Instructors implement course-committee approved recommendations.
  7. The assessment committee re-assesses results for continuous improvement.
  8. Evaluating the results on student outcomes mayforce the re-assessment of long term educational objectives. However, such a change will require the approval of the other two constituencies of the Program.
