Six Year Capital Improvement Plan

The Six Year Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) details Ohio University’s strategy to preserve and enhance facilities through a projection of new construction and renovation projects. Funded by individual college and University revenue sources as well as State capital appropriations, the Six Year CIP complements the long-term view of the Comprehensive Master Plan, illustrating the year-to-year decisions and investments on our campuses.

Ohio University has focused significant efforts to strategically plan for our future by integrating deferred maintenance, facility assessments and prioritization, programmatic planning, space utilization studies, as well as creative and innovative funding strategies. These efforts are intended to leverage institutional working capital assets, funding, debt financing, and State support. To that end, UPSM assists with a comprehensive approach for the University to outline its supporting initiatives, progress on existing efforts, and future plans for high-priority capital projects that are integral to our operations and our promise to deliver a transformational education experience. Together, all of these efforts culminate in our Six Year CIP.
