Rachel Halversen is a passionate artistically centered Designer based in Westerville Ohio. During the world changing crisis that was Covid, Rachel embarked on her lifelong dream of a design degree and is now completing this year a BFA in Interior Architecture from Ohio University. Maintaining a high academic record on the dean’s list as well as the honor society has come as a result of genuine care for the learning she acquired.
She spent her life with a hunger for hands on creativity, whether it be learning upholstery, hand painting furniture and murals, or hand designing window treatments, Rachel’s organic growth prior to her return to school was filled with curiosity and excitement for understanding the anatomy of these important elements. A formal education allows for the marriage of the creative with the technical skills required to be a high-quality designer in today’s marketplace.
Interning at Arhaus has allowed her to grow her design vision for residential spaces particularly focused on color neutral and transitional/ modern palettes which has been a great addition to her previous life experiences in design, which have lent to more colorful creations. Having versatility and vision, Rachel’s goals are to design with an intrinsic inner guide based on high quality taste, artistic instinct, and education to create spaces that are notably memorable and enjoyable for all.
