The International Education Week Photo contest is on display during IEW from November 14-18 in Alden Library’s 1st Floor International Collections

5 unique categories:

  • People: Children, adults, families, and self portraits
  • Crossing Cultures:  Cross-cultural interaction
  • Sense of Place:  Capture the essence of what makes a place unique
  • Bobcats: Near and Far: Subjects wearing OHIO attire or displaying Bobcat pride  
  • Global Impact: Share your insight about what is impacting our world and/or how we are addressing it

Join us for the Opening Reception on Tuesday Nov. 15 at 2:00 in Alden Library.

Hocking Hills, Ohio: On parents weekend 2022, my family all went to stay at a cabin in Hocking Hills. My mom who is photographed in the Ohio University sweatshirt, went to Ohio University. My sister, who is photographed next to my mom, is planning on attending Ohio university In the fall of 2023. I am the one taking this photo, who is currently attending Ohio University. We all have gone on different paths to get to this point, and Ohio University has played a role in that in each of our

Global Impact

Cleveland, Ohio: Pictured is an orangutan. Humans share approximately 96.4% of their DNA with the spectacualr orangutan species. Illegal logging inside of protected areas have caused a major threat to the survival of orangutans causing all three species of orangutans to be endangered.
