Our Mission
The purpose of the OB/GYN Club is to provide osteopathic medical students with information about training and careers in OB/GYN, discuss women's health issues, and provide an atmosphere for students to interact with current physicians.

Services Provided
- Promote the advancement of women into leadership roles in medicine
- Support for female medical students, faculty, and alumni of OU-HCOM
- Opportunity to connect with physicians and leaders within the local community
- Advocate for women's health issues
- Serve community-wide initiatives
Tentative Schedule for 2024-2025
Fall
- Talk with Dr. Sarah Rubin on maternal health and morality or on current abortion legislation and the impact on future patient care
- Ultrasound practice lab
- Period products collection drive for local women's shelter (partnered with the DOTS organization): Touch hours for donations, donated to Laura’s home (women’s shelter)
- Partnering to volunteer at a women’s shelter such as Laura’s home
- Guest speaker to cover personal safety training as a health care worker
- Discussion on patients with developmental disabilities: How to provide education/advocacy/safety
- Host a dress down day to collect money for the women's shelter
Spring
- Period products collection drive for local women's shelter (partnered with the DOTS organization): Touch hours for donations, donated to Laura’s home (women’s shelter)
- GYN/Breast exam practice
- OBGYN resident speaker: Residency acceptance statistics, what actions to take now
- IUD insertion workshop for students; hosted with representatives from BAYER
