Data Management Plans (DMPs)

Many federal funders, including the NIH and NSF, require all submitted grants to include a Data Management Plan (DMP). Additionally, all federal agencies require data from federally funded research to be publically accessible at the time of publication. University Libraries provides an  overview of DMPs , information on  DMP expectations for specific funders , and a three-part  Research Data Management Guide . The Guide also includes information from OIT on  properly securing data  and  DMP templates and guidelines . Ohio University researchers can use DMPTool, a free online platform, to create, modify, and save DMPs for their research projects.
