Hello Bobcats! We're in the heart of Week 13 and quickly headed into Week 14. As we race to the finish of spring semester, must-see events like Communication Week , the Spring Literary Festival and the Athens International Film + Video Festival are still going strong so be sure to keep an eye on the CUE to stay in the loop! The CUE, Ohio University's official Calendar of University Events , is the best way to help you keep track of it all. Remember, anyone with an OHIO ID can add events that are happening across all OHIO campuses.
Read on for a few highlights about what's happening in the week ahead:
Student Research and Creative Activity Expo
(Thursday, April 12, 11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., Convocation Center): Don't miss this year's celebration of the work of hundreds of OHIO students. Over the past 15 years, the projects have included documentary film making, robotic lawn mowers, innovative theater costumes, and presentations on the latest findings from medicine, astrophysics, education, and environmental science - last spring, more than 850 students participated in the event! The atmosphere and success of the Expo continue to bring students and faculty judges back year after year. And don't forget to check out the Student Pitch Competition
while you're there!
Freak Madness
(Friday, April 13, 11-11:55 p.m., Hahne Theater, Kantner Hall): Every society has its freaks, sideshow attractions and "hideous mutations." This week's Madness, produced by MFA playwright Cristina Luzárraga, is all about letting your freak flag fly. A weekly graduate playwriting/performance production, "Madness" is a series of short plays written, cast and performed all in a single week. Tickets are free and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Seating is limited and the ticket line starts at 10 p.m. inside the lobby of Kantner Hall. This event is FREE and open to the public.

(Monday, April 16, 5:30-6:30 p.m., Alden Library): Chuma Nwokolo's new novel, "The Extinction of Menai," follows a community affected by a drug trial administered in a Niger Delta village. This epic for the modern era encompasses bioethics, language extinction, and Nigerian history and disapora. The conversation will take place on the first floor of Alden Library, refreshments will be provided, and copies of the book will be available for purchase!

This panel discussion features recent doctoral graduates who will share strategies and answer questions about completing your thesis or dissertation. Be sure to take advantage of this great resource!
Coffee with a Cop (Wednesday, April 18, 1-3 p.m., The Front Room Campus Coffeehouse, Baker University Center): Join your neighbors and police officers for a FREE cup of coffee and a cookie, plus good conversation. OUPD and the Ohio University Multicultural Center invite everyone to stop by!
