Research Data Management Working Group to host ‘What We Wish You Knew’ panel

All member of the Ohio University community are invited to join the Research Data Management Working Group on April 19, from 1:30 - 3:00 p.m. for its first "What We Wish You Knew" panel.

This casual and informative online chat with people across the University who support research and/or have a stake in research data will address common questions and questions about data management and research processes. The working group hopes to host this session quarterly as questions arise and updates happen, and to generally keep all in touch. 

The panelists for April will include:  

  • Joshua Gonzalez , chief privacy officer, Internal Audit 
  • Ruth Lu , director of Thesis and Dissertation Services, Graduate College
  • Bethany Spurrier , associate director of Research Operations, Research & Special Programs  
  • Alicia Porter , manager for Information Security and Accessibility, Office of Information Technology

The facilitator for the panel discussion will be Hanna Schmillen , head of Research Services and health sciences librarian, University Libraries.  

The panel anticipates covering topics regarding AI in research data management, data privacy considerations, data management plans for grants, and updates on what the Research Data Management Working Group is up to. However, questions are encouraged too.
