New American

The New American project provides resources to teach immigrants from Ethiopia about sexual education. This includes risks, responses, and how to protect oneself sexually. Doctor Caroline Kingori, a health behavior scholar and interim associate dean of research at OHIO, facilitates the project in hopes that immigrants receive the resources they need to learn about the important topic. Users choose their own path throughout the game, meaning outcomes vary and users gain the knowledge they need to make more educated decisions in the real world. The first installment of New American is complete and Haire, co-director of the project, along with Kingori and the team, are working on the next two installments.
