Official Biography

SFC Richardson is a native of Palmyra, MO. He completed two years in the National Guard prior to enlisting in the active Army. He enlisted on 7 January 2007, and completed One Station Unit Training at Fort Benning, GA. He earned the Military Occupational Specialty 11C- Indirect Fire Infantryman. SFC Richardson was initially assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2-6 Infantry Regiment, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, Baumholder, Germany (Iraq). In 2009, he was reassigned to Alpha Company, 2-5 Infantry Regiment, 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, Fort Bliss, TX where he served as a Gunner.

In 2010, he was assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1-67th Combined Arms Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team where he served as a Squad Leader and Fire Direction Center Chief (Afghanistan). In 2013, he was assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 3-8 Calvary Regiment, 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Calvary Division (South Korea, Kuwait). He was assigned to 1-506th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division in 2018 (Iraq). In 2020, he graduated from The United States Army Drill Sergeant Academy. He was then assigned to Easy Company as a Drill Sergeant and later Charlie Company, 1-19 Infantry Regiment, 198th Infantry Brigade, Fort Benning, GA as a Senior Drill Sergeant, and also as the Operations NCOIC.

SFC Richardson’s military education includes the Master Resiliency Trainer, Battalion Master Driver, FBCB2 Leadership OpNet Course, Drill Sergeant School, Basic Leaders Course, Advanced Leaders Course, Infantry Mortar Leadership Course, Maneuver Senior Leaders Course, HazMat Technician Course, Basic Combative Course.

SFC Richardson’s awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal (1 SOLC, 1 OLC, 1 C Device), Army Achievement Medal (2 OLC), the Army Good Conduct Medal (6th Award), National Defense Service Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal (2 CS), Afghanistan Campaign Medal (2 CS), Inherent Resolve Campaign Medal (1 CS), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (3), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (5), Meritorious Unit Citation (1 OLC) and the Drill Sergeant Identification Badge.
