This email list is for scholars who wish to participate in an exploratory session to establish a five-year long Mahabharata seminar as a section at the AAR. The AAR defines an exploratory session as a "complete prearranged session that provides a platform for a group of members to announce a line of inquiry new to the AAR program and to seek out others interested in pursuing it further.� The round table discussion will take place at the AAR�s 2019 meeting in San Diego and this listserv is designed to allow us a forum to share ideas about how to proceed between now and November.
