Disability

CALL FOR STUDENT POSTERS:

Do you have students who have written about the symbolism of disability in
literature, researched the impact of disabled veterans on public policy,
evaluated the efficacy of educational strategies, created disability themed
art or conducted a dance class for community members with disabilities?
These are just a few examples of past topics, disability intersects with
nearly every discipline; if your students have incorporated disability into
their work recommend that they submit a poster at this year the Multiple
Perspectives On Access, Inclusion & Disability conference. Celebrating its
tenth anniversary with the theme "Future History" we are seeking poster
presentations from graduate and undergraduate students that represent the
broad range of approaches to disability. This is an opportunity to share
your work and reflect on the meaning of disability to various disciplines,
individuals and society. Submissions are due March 31st 2010 and may be
based on class projects & papers; independent & supervised student research;
community service & applied problem solving from service learning classes or
student organization projects; and visual and performing arts projects.
Posters can take a variety of forms including print; PowerPoint
presentation, web pages, video presentations. The Student Poster Session
will be held Tuesday, April 27th 2010 in the New Ohio Union. For submission
guidelines and more information on the conference visit
