QUALIFICATIONS: Required: Earned doctorate from a CACREP accredited program in counselor education or a closely related field; experience in university student affairs/college counseling programs; experience teaching in higher education; record of scholarly productivity and demonstrated potential to secure external funding; earned Virginia LPC or eligibility for Virginia LPC; ability to direct doctoral dissertations; and evidence of identification with the counseling profession through membership in professional organizations. Candidate must have demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU. Preferred: Experience in utilizing technology to enhance instruction; demonstrated service in professional organizations.
