Dear Emeriti, Here are more comments about Azure/Authenticator. Azure is a Microsoft product which is free to University users. Authenticator is an app that will replace Duo for MFA. MFA involves your getting a security code to enter before you access University sites. The Jan 31 deadline mentioned previously is not a final deadline. After the 31st you will be put in line to use Authenticator. That might make things easier. But you will need to download the Authenticator app to your cellphone from an app store. You could/should try the download at this time. The Authenticator app should look like a blue lock on a white background. Do not pay for it. The app store may download something for which Microsoft charges $40 but do not pay anything. Look for another app which is free to University users. Staff at the service desk may or may not know what needs to be done. Several emeriti have had problems with the process, which may take up to ½ hour. If you are having trouble, the Emeriti Assc can set up a zoom meeting with an OIT person to show what needs to be done. Please email me if you would like a zoom meeting.
