For the entire position description, please visit http://www.csus.edu/hr/staff/career/FY_0809/itce070.htm Instructions to Apply http://www.csus.edu/cms/mysacstate/help/files/ExternalAppProcedures.pdf INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY CONSULTANT - EXPERT (INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER) JOB #: 100212 Design Support * Develops curricular objectives with subject matter experts. * Develops exceptional hybrid and fully online courses. * Designs instructional templates based on fully online and hybrid models. * Designs course content, exams, evaluations and assessment surveys. * Incorporates course content from Subject Matter Experts. * Integrates online and hybrid teaching best practices. * Develops course development guidelines and procedures. * Will periodically revisit previously designed courses to assess program success and provide faculty guidance * Develops content that may be in the form of PDF, Word, HTML, PPT and Excel. Academic Program Support * Develops faculty online/hybrid program elements. * Develops program and course development guidelines. * Designs teaching resources * Performs recommended updates to program. * Continuously improves development program. * Develops online tutorials, job aids and handouts. * Provides training sessions to select groups of faculty. * Participates in coordinated campus eLearning initiatives. * Leads and assists faculty participants in comprehensive training program. Provides faculty and departmental consultations. Consulting and Advising * Collaborates in development of fully online and hybrid models. * Participates on program committees. * Assists with analysis of new technologies. * Assists with the selection of courses that will be designed and developed. * Contributes with team to evaluate program applications.
