Below is a message from Cari Hickerson from JCU about the Herpetology
symposium.


Hello all.

We have a date and a speaker for this year's OU/JCU herp symposium!

Our guest speaker will be *Kristen Hart (USGS)*. Kristen is a population
ecologist and she works with rare, threatened, endangered, and invasive
species of reptiles including diamondback terrapins, loggerhead sea
turtles, green sea turtles, hawksbill sea turtles, crocodilians, and
Burmese pythons...Talk title still to come!

The symposium will be on *Saturday October 20th *and is at JCU this year.

The student organizers from JCU are *Olivia Brooks and Zach Lange*. They
will be sending out more information in the coming weeks.

Talks and posters will be all day on Saturday and will be followed by a
social event to celebrate all of the awesome science!
