I have been anticipating this book for many years after sharing our OUVC data with him. Scott Moody

Join professor and author John D. Harder as he takes us on a tour of the 55 species of mammals that call Ohio home, their varied conservation status, and their great diversity in form and function. Special emphasis will be placed on the star-nosed mole, flying squirrel, red fox, and hoary bat (representative species from each of the four largest orders of mammals in Ohio).

Julie Gee from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources will also be on hand with an exciting display of mammal pelts and skulls.

Books will be available for purchase/signing.

John D. Harder is associate professor emeritus in evolution, ecology, and organismal biology at The Ohio State University, where he taught upper-division courses in mammalogy and conservation biology. His research on the reproductive biology and ecology of mammals has focused on marsupials and involved field studies in Ohio, Venezuela, and Amazonian Peru.
