The Pippin Prep achieves up to 80 percent recovery of nucleic acids, an efficiency unseen in standard gel purification protocols and commercial kits. Collected nucleic acid qualities are high enough to be used in all next-generation sequencing chemistries, and the cost is low enough to feasible even for standard cloning needs.
