Design and Construction will strive to have all University projects built using quality construction based on just and fair administration, integrity, and professionalism and by incorporating University Design and Construction Standards .
Design and Construction recognizes Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) standards and partners with University Planning and Space Management and the Office of Sustainability to demonstrate a commitment to sustainability.

Athens Campus Planned Power Outages
November 15, 2019 -Athens Campus - Planned Power Outages for November and December 2019
Ohio University’s Facilities Management and Safety has scheduled a series of widespread electrical outages on the Athens Campus to allow for improvements to the campus electrical distribution system.
The intent of these efforts is to provide an opportunity to perform preventative maintenance, upgrade equipment in the main electric substation and allow for the new HCOM Academic Facility and Chilled Water Plant 3 to be added to the University’s electric distribution system. The dates for the outages are provided below and have been carefully scheduled during non-business hours adjacent to major academic breaks to minimize impact to the Ohio University community.
