Training Tomorrow's Primary Care Leaders
Getting Started
All students interested in attending Ohio University - Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine must apply through AACOMAS and complete both the primary and secondary applications. For consideration in the Transformation Care Continuum, select students will be invited to apply through an additional supplemental application, delivered via email. Students must submit the supplemental application to be invited for an interview for TCC.
Interview Process
Selected applicants will interview with Heritage College selection committee members as well as with the program directors, faculty and residents of the residency programs at Cleveland Clinic Akron General Center for Family Medicine and Cleveland Clinic Lakewood Family Health Center. Applicants should be prepared to spend two days in Northeast Ohio for this process.
Selection Process
Applicants will learn of their admission decision to the Heritage College during the week following their interviews in Cleveland/Akron. Applicants will learn whether they have been admitted to TCC once all interviews have been completed. Those applicants admitted to TCC will learn the residency program to which they have been matched in the spring.
Applicants not admitted to TCC can still be accepted to any Heritage College campus.
Onboarding and Orientation
TCC students begin their Orientation at the end of July/beginning of August, about two weeks before Heritage College Orientation for medical school curriculum. Communications about completing required admission tasks to medical school and TCC are sent to incoming students as early as May, followed by information regarding TCC Orientation and badging.
