The minor in Hearing, Speech and Language Sciences fosters learning related to communication sciences and the normal processes of human communication. It provides an introduction to communication disorders.
The field is inherently interdisciplinary; few academic or clinical realms are unrelated to hearing, speech, and language sciences. Students wishing to pursue graduate studies in any clinical field can develop a good foundation through this minor.
Students considering graduate study in any OHIO Hearing, Speech, and Language Sciences programs (master's in speech-language pathology or doctor of audiology) are encouraged to complete the minor and any additional prerequisites.
