Hometown: Fairfield, Ohio
Expected Graduation: Spring 2023
Kaylee is a junior in the aviation flight program at the Russ College of Engineering and Technology. She is from Fairfield, Ohio, a city about 30 miles north of Cincinnati. She was drawn to Ohio University because of the supportive faculty, the sense of community, and the beauty of Athens. Kaylee, a first-generation student, also knew she chose the right college for her when she felt a sense of comfort on campus.
After her first flight on a commercial airline to Denver and being able to see the Rocky Mountains from the sky, a passion for aviation was ignited and Kaylee chose to pursue a degree for that at OHIO. Outside of classes, Kaylee is a member of OHIO’s chapter of Women in Aviation International and is the treasurer of the Flying Bobcats, OHIO’s Precision Flight Team.
Kaylee currently spends much of her time pursuing her Instrument Rating. When she is not flying, you can find her out on the bike path, hiking, or hanging out with her friends at Strouds Run State Park.
