Liz is from Carnegie, a small suburb just 10 minutes away from Pittsburgh. While researching universities with great forensic science programs, she discovered Ohio University. After visiting for STEM Day, she fell in love with the campus and the community. Liz applied to the university as a chemical engineering major after she discovered the field, eager to learn as much as she could about it. Now she’s a senior and is certain she made the right choice since she feels right at home!
Aside from coursework and being an Engineering Ambassador, Liz is Vice-Commissioner of Financial Affairs in the Student Senate Appropriations Commission and is a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. She is currently doing research with Dr. Burdick on breast cancer and other related cancers.
In her free time, Liz enjoys hanging out with her friends and family, being outdoors, and watching The Office.
