Ryan brings a wealth of experience in education and global engagement to his role as Embedded Regional Director at Ohio University. A Southeast Ohio native, Ryan has dedicated his career to fostering transformative learning experiences for students. His educational journey includes a master’s degree in Near Eastern Languages and Cultures from Ohio State University and extensive doctoral studies in Educational Leadership.
Ryan’s passion for global education stems from his own international experiences, having lived, taught, and traveled abroad in countries such as Syria, Turkey, and Egypt. These opportunities not only deepened his appreciation for diverse cultures but also shaped his commitment to helping students gain a broader perspective on the world.
Prior to joining WorldStrides, Ryan held leadership roles in higher education, where he championed study abroad programs and supported international students. At Ohio University, he works closely with students and faculty to promote meaningful global opportunities, guiding students through every stage of their international education journey.
When he’s not advising students or collaborating with faculty, Ryan enjoys exploring new destinations, studying languages, and sharing his love of cultural exchange.
