Using the Polycom Camera for Hybrid Teams Meetings

The Polycom camera (mounted to the television stand) acts as a webcam and microphone for the room, allowing off-site meeting participants in a Teams meeting to see and hear what is going on in the room.

Using the Polycom Camera with Your Laptop

  1. Plug the USB cable (located on the back of the TV stand and labeled “camera to laptop or desktop”) into your laptop.
    1. For smaller laptops that only have USB-C ports: attach the tethered USB-C adapter to the HDMI cable, then plug into your laptop.
  2. Start or join the Teams meeting from your laptop.
  3. In Teams, choose Polycom Studiofor your camera and microphone.

The camera will try to zoom in on whoever is speaking at a given moment, if they are within its viewing area. Position the camera and participants accordingly (you can physically move the camera/TV stand). To prevent echoes and feedback, have anyone else who is joining the Teams meeting from their laptop inside the room mute their laptop microphone and speakers.

To prevent echoes and feedback, have anyone else who is joining the Teams meeting from their laptop inside the room mute their laptop microphone and speakers.

Using the Television as a Monitor for Your Laptop
