The Diabetes Institute provides support to patient care services through programs and clinical services. Direct patient care is delivered through the Heritage Community Clinic as well as the Ohio Health Physician Group Heritage College (OPGHC) Diabetes and Endocrinology Center .

Free Clinic
The Diabetes Free Clinic located in the Heritage Community Clinic offers diabetes care to qualifying adults in Athens, Hocking, Jackson, Meigs, Perry, Vinton, and Washington counties. Volunteer providers include physicians, dietitians, pharmacists, and nurse educators who specialize in diabetes care.

Free Pharmacy
The Rising Suns Pharmacy offers high quality pharmacy services that optimize the health and well-being of all members of the Southeastern Ohio community. Volunteer providers assist this nonprofit pharmacy in providing affordable medications to community members who are uninsured or have limited resources.
