University Planning is responsible for planning all building, land use, and infrastructure projects at every Ohio University campus including Athens, Dublin, Chillicothe, Eastern, Lancaster, Southern, and Zanesville.
We develop long-range strategies and master plans for the growth and transformation of our campuses by interrelating programmatic needs with physical facilities, infrastructure, systems, and surroundings. This process is facilitated by creating close relationships with University stakeholders, the City of Athensthe cities in which we exist, and different community groups. ups. From 1804 to Today, Ohio University Has a History of Planning for Its Future
The office of University Planning strives to build on the legacy left by planners before us to support the growth and transformation needs of our University campuses. We develop long-range planning strategies, ensure best practice in space utilization and management, and interrelate facilities, infrastructure, and systems with the physical campus in support of the University's academic mission and strategic vision.
Through processes that encompass a broad base of communication with many different stakeholders, we help University units realize their goals by listening, facilitating, leveraging and collaborating to provide an evolving campus road map that supports learning, discovery, and community.
