LINKS Peer Mentors assist in supporting the retention and success of culturally, socially, and geographically diverse new, first-year students. Peer mentors facilitate individualized one-on-one mentoring, group study sessions, and small group activities that help ease the transition to OHIO’s campus.
To apply for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Hold at least a 2.75 cumulative grade point average
- Be in good standing with Ohio University
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive community of diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives
Successful candidates will be responsible for the following prior to official hire:
- Complete official LINKS Peer Mentor application
- Enroll in and successfully complete INST 4930, LINKS Peer Mentor Seminar, in the spring semester
- Complete all required payroll forms
- Submit appropriate documentation for student employment
