Film Minor

The Film minor allows students to explore the art, history, and theory of cinema while developing practical skills in filmmaking and screenwriting. With a flexible curriculum, students elect to focus their studies on screenwriting, film production, film studies and or general exploration of film. The minor enhances visual storytelling, critical thinking, and media literacy.

Curriculum

The Film minor requires a minimum of 21 credit hours. Students complete foundational courses in film studies and have the opportunity to specialize in areas such as film production, screenwriting, or film theory and criticism.
