Talent Award Scholarships

The Fine Arts Talent Award (FATA), the Fine Arts Talent Enhancement Award (FATEA), and the Fine Arts Talent Trustees Award (FATTA) application deadline is January 15.

Portfolios submitted for scholarship consideration will be accepted through February 20. The awards are reserved for incoming first-year students who earn admission to a Studio Art major, an Art History major, or both in the School of Art + Design (SOA+D) within the College of Fine Arts (COFA). These talent-based scholarships are awarded on the potential of individual students, as determined by the Scholarship Committee. All Fine Arts talent based awards are renewable for 8 semesters based on the successful completion of a minimum of 15 credits per semester, maintenance of a 3.0 cumulative grade point average and continued pursuit of a major in the College of Fine Arts.

Please note that applicants only need to submit ONE portfolio/application to be considered for all three types of awards.

Students who intend to double major in Studio Art or Art History and also in another college outside of COFA must list Studio Art/Art History on the University application in order to be eligible for these awards. A second major can be added upon matriculation.

FATA/FATEA award recipients may be residents or non-residents of Ohio, while only non-residents are eligible for the FATTA.
