The Arnold Allyship Student Award
The Arnold Allyship Student Award was named in honor of Ohio University’s first LGBT Center administrative associate, Becky Arnold. It was established in 2020. The award, open to all students, recognizes an Ohio University student that has demonstrated outstanding and active advocacy toward improving the lives of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and/or queer communities on and off campus.

Francine Childs Diversity Leadership Award
This award represents the most prestigious diversity honor bestowed upon an OHIO student. The award is open to all students, and recipients will be individuals who promote the principles of social justice, leadership, cultural diversity and service to the campus and/or region.

Describe how you have advanced institutional diversity and inclusion goals, including evidence of leadership excellence in the advancement of social justice and equality within and/or outside the university; commitment of diversity through campus and community involvement; encouraging and motivating collaborations to promote inclusively; and/or demonstration of creative or innovative work to advance the academic success or leadership capabilities for underrepresented populations (e.g. first-generation college students, minorities, women in STEM, etc.).
Latinx Community Achievement Award
The Latinx Community Achievement Awards were established to recognize students that improve the experiences of Latinx students at OHIO. All full-time undergraduate students at the Ohio University Athens Campus with 24 or more completed credit hours and a 2.75 cumulative GPA are eligible to apply. Continuing seniors must be enrolled at least one semester during the current academic year to be eligible.

The LGBT Center Student Hart Award was named in honor of Ohio University’s first LGBT Center director, Mickey J. Hart, and was established in 2020. The award, open to all students, recognizes outstanding community care that improves the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and/or queer communities that reside on and off campus.

Spencer/Blackburn Achievement Awards
The Spencer/Blackburn Achievement Awards were established by the Black Student Cultural Programming Board in 1979 in honor of Martha Jane Hunley Blackburn, the first African American woman to graduate from Ohio University and Donald A. Spencer, the first African American to serve as chairman of the Ohio University Board of Trustees. The awards are open to all students, and recipients are selected based on a combination of financial need, academic performance, and outstanding contributions to Ohio University.

George Floyd Memorial Scholarship
